“You made me realize that I didn’t need to be alone to be myself.”
I thought I had everything figured out. I thought I knew where my place was — alone. And though it was a lonely existence, I learned to appreciate the solitude while pretending to be someone else out in the real world. Someone happy. But when you came along and changed everything, I wasn’t sure what to think.
You see, I didn’t trust myself, because I felt at home with you. To be honest, I was terrified of what that meant. So I tried to convince myself you were just a wolf in sheep’s clothing. But I was wrong. I must confess, you were nothing like I thought you’d be. You made me realize that I didn’t need to be alone to be myself.

Wow. If I didn’t know better I would swear you peeked around inside my head to write this. You’ve pretty much encapsulated my life story in this poem. And from “But when you came along…” onwards is exactly what the last three months has been like for me. It’s uncanny!
