Though we might be in two different worlds, I still feel your presence echoing through me. When I can’t see you, I know you’re still there, watching, waiting for the next time we will meet. I’m comforted by these thoughts, these feelings, because, in the end I know I’m not alone. I’m still alive. And that’s reason enough to soldier on.

Thanks for sharing this. I can relate to this poem a lot. I have just started a poetry blog here on WordPress in case you have time to have a look? Have a good afternoon, Sam 🙂

Really enjoyed your take! Even your words could be taken many ways, let alone the song itself.

Thank you! It’s good to see this is actually showing up in the reader now. It was originally published yesterday.

Seriously? Wow I figured there was a delay. I haven’t seen many posts for 2 days. When I can find my post (posted 4 or 6 hours) previously with 2 maybe 3 after it, I figure there’s something going on

Yep, sigh. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Do you find that you have strong feelings of isolation and emptiness?

Sometimes, but it’s mostly just in my head. This piece doesn’t necessarily reflect where I am at this point in my life, but I’ve felt this way before.

How are you with relationships? Are you very temperamental? Or fluctuate frequently with your outlook on those close to you because of emotional instability.

I’m wondering where you are going with this. I’m happily married. Yet my upbringing involved my entire childhood and most of my teenage years dealing with every kind of abuse you can fathom, on a daily basis. There’s always a feeling that I might end up alone, as I was promised I would. But I trust my loved ones. And no, I’m not temperamental. I’m usually a jumble of nerves, fears, and anxieties, with physical pain mixed in.

I don’t have bpd. I have complex PTSD, anxiety, and depression, which are often accompanied by intense migraines.

The reason i asked is BPD is often comorbid with ptsd. Only reason i asked.

I understand, but I haven’t received that diagnosis, and I don’t think I have it. 😊

Great post 🙂 Funny how I feel this could be the very thoughts of the character in the post I just published 😉 It is such a small world 😛 Great Thursday to you 🙂

Thank you for the great verse and the introduction to the video! I think we all have those moments during our lives when we wonder if our souls mate is out there, still hidden from our view, longing for us as much as we are longing for them. Waiting for fate to intervene and allow our paths to cross. This could easily capture those moments or any long distance relationship I have been in. Beautiful work as always.

I just listened to the song you based this on and whoa! You elevated it to a whole different level in the best possible way.
I like that your take could be interpreted so many ways, including a couple separated because he’s a soldier in the Middle East and she’s back here in the States. 🙂

Sounds like you’d found something that drives you, just hold on to the thought, and NEVER let it go, and turn what drives you, into something permanent that you can draw your strengths from…
