Moments

The city’s horizon glows yellow in the distant night that surrounds us. We explore the streets, hand in hand, and listen to the sounds of silence, the music filtering through buildings. And it is here, in this place, that I feel at one with the universe. Like it’s my church, and you’re the only other person sharing those perfect moments with me.

  2. Wow, I love the imagery going on in this piece. Some poems can be powerful in its emotion, but when coupled with visual cues that can take you away to other places. This poem is one such piece, and your song for the day is an equally evocative song. To be honest, I watch the M83 video on an almost daily basis. “Wait” is another powerful song he does too. Thanks for sharing this beautiful work.

  3. “We explore the streets, hand in hand, and listen to the sounds of silence, the music filtering through buildings.” I love the image of them wandering the streets like they’re the only two people in the world. And it isn’t a bad or a lonely thing. It’s peaceful and content, as if they don’t need anyone else in that moment. 🙂
