Yum, I just wish that your narrative was a bit fleshier. Longer isn’t always better though. You freeze-frame images, emotions. . . . Thanks

    1. Some of my pieces are longer. “Misery” and “Anything Else” are recent examples. And, I do write fiction. There’s different depths I like to take. Freeze frames, as you said, then more involved, into stories, essays, discussions, and books. 😊

      1. So I see. You make an enjoyable read. Your commentary on “13 Reasons . . . ” is pretty brave considering the subject matter. I have personal experience of 11 suicides, 3 of them in front of me. I’m not brave enough to put finger to keyboard though. Well done. p

  2. I know what you mean! Sometimes the thought of one of my most painful experiences comes out of nowhere and brings me right back to that place, no matter how I thought I’d moved on or gotten past it.

Giving me some Lestat vibes with this piece! Gives me the shivers! Brilliant! ❤

  4. Amazing verses. It makes me think how some moments are like mysterious creatures that blind you and magnify those distant past. Such a chilling and beautiful poem.

  5. Again, no one else can do what you do with so few words and such pressing subject matters:

    “creep up the back
    of your neck like cold,
    dead fingers that haunt you.”

    This gave me chills, Sarah.
