That was actually how it was meant to be received, disguised beneath something horrific. It raised an interesting upheaval on Instagram, because some are concerned about the darkness of this piece. It’s odd, sometimes, having to explain that what you’ve written if fiction, especially when the underlying meaning isn’t quite so dark. Thank you!
Only another poet truly understands the layers of meaning and the emotions beneath the surface. Those who take it literally don’t know much about extended metaphors. 🙂 I have the same problem when I write something seemingly “light” and “simple” and some readers don’t get the deeper meaning. 🙂

Mostly just fiction. I found the title word to be very interesting and wanted to explore it.

I had to google the title word 🙂 to me this was a metaphor for unrequited love, for some reason, I interpreted it that way … not in a literal sense 🙂
