Inevitability

“And then. I knew what it meant
to fall in love.”

And those eyes were like a beacon. Drawing me toward it like a moth to flame. Those blue flames shimmered behind your eyes, mesmerizing me. Holding me captive. In that moment, I knew beauty for the first time. I couldn’t help it. I didn’t want to. Everything about you held me in a trance and I didn’t want to look away for fear the spell would be broken. And then. I knew what it meant to fall in love.

It felt like inevitability.

  1. I love these pieces. I have stayed away from “love” writing because it has scared me my whole life!!! I love being in love now.. and being able to know what it feels like to to relate to a piece like this one!

    1. Oh I’m so glad to hear you’ve finally found love. It’s not easy to describe if you haven’t felt it. And I can definitely understand why it is scary, because it leaves those in love with a distinct opening for being hurt.
