Trash

“I found the kind of love
that made me forget all the wrong
that came before it.”

You need to understand that he treated you like trash because he could. He knew you would stay because you loved him. And that has done nothing but make you question yourself and your worth. It’s not your fault for loving him, and it will take time to heal to the point that you will be able to move on. But this is the time to rebuild yourself. To know that you deserve better. And to never allow someone to do it to you again.

One day, you will say, “I found the kind of love that made me forget all the wrong that came before it.” And that love will lift you up, not bring you down.

Until you can say
those lines from the heart,
it’s probably not true.
