Drifting

“Why do I love you? The answer isn’t what matters.
What matters is — I do.”

You are the first person I think about before going asleep. Yours is the name my mind whispers when I wake up. And all throughout the day, I can’t help but listen as my thoughts drift to you. I guess, in the end, when I ask myself why I love you, the answer isn’t what matters. What matters is — I do. I love you. And I don’t need reasons. I just know.

It’s that simple.
I just know.
