Peaceful Surrender

“Peaceful. This is how I feel when I’m in your arms.
This is how I wish it felt all the time.”

It was a fleeting thing, the cool blue of the full harvest moon, shining down across your face. It only seemed to amplify your beauty. The shadows were darker, yet defined. And the way the light seemed to shimmer around your cheeks. Or how your eyes lit up when you smiled. It was almost enchanting. I never wanted those moments to end. Because it was perfect. Quiet. And peaceful. This is how I feel when I’m in your arms at night. This is how I wish it felt all the time. But I’ll take what I can get. Any day. Any time.

Because it’s worth it.
Simple as that.
