Two Worlds

“Remember your demons and know
you’re more than how they define you.”

With enough determination, we can learn to live in the light. Among the living. The loving. But when night falls, we’re sometimes reminded of the demons that still hide there. In the silence. In the places where no light can touch. And if you’re not careful, they’ll snatch you up. The true meaning of living means to embrace both sides of these worlds. To remember where those demons came from and acknowledge that you’re more than how they define you. They’re a part of you, but they don’t control you.

It’s important to recognize them
for what they are.
But also, to keep them
in the dark where they belong.
