Glimmering

“You saw the light among the darkness in my eyes,
like the stars in the night sky.”

You read my thoughts through my eyes and felt my fear, the overwhelming amount of guilt, and sadness, but you still saw the light, glimmering against all that darkness like the stars in the night sky, and you promised me, “Tomorrow will be another day.”
