Make Up Your Mind

“Maybe I’m just a dreamer,
choosing to make up my own mind.”

Instincts are one of the most powerful senses we could ever possess. But somehow, over time, we learned that those little nudges we felt couldn’t be trusted. That logic and truths were the facts, and all else could be ignored as mere inconveniences. Yet why is it when danger approaches, we feel an instant hesitation? That fight or flIght response that sets the adrenaline on high? Perhaps, maybe, if we listened a little more, we might be able to overcome what we have been taught to believe and instead make up our own minds — and choose our own destinies. Maybe that makes me different. And that’s okay with me.

Or maybe that’s
just the dreamer in me.

  1. BAM. Like the creative said to the accountant. No shit. There’s a great line from King Crimson’s “I Talk to the Wind.”
    “Said the straight man
    to the late man
    Where have you been?
I’ve been here and I’ve been there
    And I’ve been in between.”
