Wishes And Dreams

“Darling, don’t you see?
You were my wish come true.”

The white roses petals drifted to the ground around my tiny feet and I watched with amazement as the gentle breeze picked a few of them up and danced to some unheard melody for a few moments before letting them flutter back to the ground. Back then, when I watched those petals dance, I dreamed of a day when I would dance with the one I loved. A day filled with happy tears instead of the ones caused by pain. A day with a bright outlook towards the future rather than an endless stream of darkness. You see, I didn’t realize it then, but I dreamed of you. I knew one day I would find you.
