Hope Stays

“Hope will come.
And one day, it’ll stay with me.”

Tonight, I saw the briefest glimmer of hope light up my eyes. I can’t recall what sparked it. Nor do I recall why it faded so quickly. But it was there. After so long of no signs. In an instant, it was gone, but it was enough to remind me that it will end. It may not be tomorrow, next month, it next year. But it’ll come back. And each time, it’ll bring me closer to having hope stay with me.
