Whispers In The Dark

“My heart continues to whisper your name.
But, in the night, it beats its loudest.”

All my veins and sinew continue to whisper your name in the darkness. My heart, as if a beacon. Of gravity. An empty, dead star. Slowly pulsating, no matter the time of day. But sometimes, in the quiet of the night, it beats its loudest. That’s when I hear your name. Feel your touch on my skin. Crave your scent. Taste you as if you’re still lingering on my tongue. It’s as if you’ve permanently changed my DNA. Forever connecting us together, no matter the distance between us.
