Aching Hearts

“And I fear this ache I feel for you
may become permanent.”

There it is again. The tell-tale heart beating within the walls of my chest. Calling your name so it echoes and reverberates through my body as more than just a pulse. But a reason to keep fighting. To push forward. To make the best of every day that is given to me. To be with you. And though I love you more than words can describe, I fear this ache I feel you may become permanent.

Can you hear my heart
pounding your name?
