There Is Hope

“You see, as long as you’re breathing,
and you can feel your heart beating,
there is hope.”

I am that glimmer of hope in the middle of an oblivion of nothing. I am that warrior that refused to go down without a fight. The kind that stood back up again and again until my body couldn’t pick itself off the ground any longer. I am that survivor that learned from all her former mistakes. The kind that refused to be broken, even when the darkest of days offers no twinkle of stars and no moon to show me I’m not alone in my pain. That hope beats within my chest. It beats within yours too. You see, as long as you’re breathing, and you can feel your heart beating, there is hope.
