Secretive

Oh, but darling, all these secrets you’ve kept
weren’t meant to stay hidden.

It’s such a stifling feeling, when your mouth is shackled shut by fear and manipulation. If only I had the strength to use my voice more than once when I was a child, maybe I could have ended my torment. Or, it could have killed me.

  1. How revealing that you felt your voice was stifled as a child, only to grow into a writer where you allow yourself to use your voice every day. Now that’s a lot of chains you’ve broken through!
