Allowance

Poetry

“The only
thing
that kept
me alive
was not
through
his
allowance.”

The only thing that kept me alive was not through his allowance. It was my steadfast determination to one day outlast the pain. My entire childhood, my body, and my mind were at the will of a madman. He tried to break me, but I held on.

  1. Oh, I really liked the last two lines “My entire childhood, my body, and my mind were at the will of a madman. He tried to break me, but I held on.” Particularly the use of madman, and the last “but I held on.”
