Exactly. Getting fired in such an ugly way the other day that really brought it all back so I appreciate what you say about shame because youre right it doesn’t go away
You know when you feel someone is delighting in hurting you? I guess I did feel the email had that tone. Ah well it’s best I did not respond, that only feeds it. Thank you dear one because I was very down afterward and your support helps a lot.
Ah you always put your finger on it. I also think I feel angry at myself for reacting and not being unscathed or unruffled. How do those who are unflapable learn to be so?
The people that feel no remorse over actions like this are the kinds that thrive on trampling over others to reach the top. Sometimes, not always, these people are sociopaths, because they feel they can treat anyone in any way they please and still be entitled to moving up the food chain.
I was blown away by the imagery. And then I remembered what a young man said to me 12 years ago; “Shame dies on exposure and guilt is the shame of the innocents”
awhhhh this is such a cute quote!!x

I’ve been thinking on it and honestly that guy and what he represents is a sham. No one should treat people like that.

I can understand why you’d be down. This person sounds as if they’d delight in tormenting you.

I know this feeling. Sometimes I say, “Other people have issues. I have VOLUMES.” 🙂

I like how you equate shame with being an unstable foundation.
