Whirlpool

Your whirlpool
spun so fast that
I didn’t know
which direction
to swim.
Before I knew it,
I was drowning.

This time,
I didn’t mind,
because I was
lost in your eyes.

Happy birthday to my husband.

  1. Talk about a whirlwind of emotion. Started off dark and foreboding, then perhaps silly or lustful, and then tugging on the heartstrings. At least, that was perception when I read it the first time. πŸ™‚

      1. Well its a beautiful tribute to love. I’m a fan of an original birthday message.
We had a birthday at work yesterday… a card was passed around but it was rushed from person to person there’s no time to think who this person is what they mean to you what you wish for them. Someone standing over your shoulder judging what you write. I so much prefer the ability to indulge the creative and make that message one of a kind.
        You’ve certainly achieve that!
