Better Off

Poetry

“From the moment
I first saw her,
her beauty
was obvious.”

I remember seeing that pale moonlight shimmering off her black hair as she laid, curled into a ball. How that illumination shifted with every breath she took. From the moment I first saw her, her beauty was obvious. And in many ways, I think she saved me more than I did in return. But in that moment, I saw her in a new light. It just gave me another reason — and no particular reason — to appreciate how she’s changed my life for the better.

      1. Thomas, or TC, is the same Sarah. Apart from me and Mrs. D he won’t go near anyone. If we have visitors, we get the cold shoulder for days when they leave 🙂
