Sweetness

My sweet tooth
craves another
delicious taste
of your perfection.

  1. the imagery in this piece is sensuously powerful. however, beware of wole soyinka’s warning in kongi’s harvest, “The pot that will eat fat/Its bottom must be scotched/The squirrel that will long crack nuts/Its footpad must be sore.” simply put, anything enjoyable requires care and hard-work. so, if you want to enjoy the “sweet perfection” for a long time, make sure you take care of your “sweet tooth” after each ‘feeding’.
