Exactly. There’s no point in asking “why me” and think about all of your faults he/she might have overlooked. The main point is that he/she loves you enough to accept you and it means, accepting everything about you! So be grateful indeed!
I feel this way about my girlfriend. It is hard for me to let go of wondering why she sticks around and rather just appreciate that she is here. Great poem!
