But you know sometimes putting this blood in words helps so many others ❤
This past couple of weeks I read a few novels that both shook me and made me rethink many things
Another lovely piece. Particularly liked the play in the last word – ‘enough’ as in ‘I’m bled dry…’ and ‘enough’ as in ‘enough of all this…’ – turns the melancholy around. V. nice.
No worries, it’s merely a metaphor for spilling my thoughts and then “draining” for a short period of time before I’m rejuvenated and ready to spill again. 😊 Thank you for the kind words! 😊
Beautiful, I hope there are more words though! I sometimes get to the point where I think I have nothing left to write but something always comes in time.
That’s heavy. Something only a woman can conceive.
Don’t get me wrong; I like it a lot – it’s like oompf, straight to the gut.

What you need, my friend, are apples. I’m thinking Newton. But I hear they are also high in iron. 😉

Hahaha, yes. 😆 It’s just a metaphor for spilling thoughts, but the blood never actually runs dry. 😊😊

I got that, of course. Hence, the initial mention of Newton. Sorry, my wit is a bit roundabout.

Oh but bleeding in words is the only way to go…makes the feelings and passion shine through the pages ❤

It is. And it never truly goes away. It might just feel like it for a time.

It does, but it is only a temporary measure. The urge comes back as the blood supply is replenished. 😊

Love this. The idea of writing as bleeding is vivid and often true. We often feel we’re tearing our feelings out as we pour them on the page.

I’ve never been a drinker. The light stuff like wine was either too bitter or too sweet. So I don’t know.
