Belonging

It was strange,
seeing you wrapped
in another woman’s
skin like you
belonged there.

  1. What she did is not to be complained about… Why it happened with me is not to be questioned too..
Her happiness matters and that is the first priority because when when she was in my arms I loved her, how now when she is in arms of another my love for her disappears.
What I got is my Karma, what she did is her Karma.

      1. Maybe in my past life on the path of the journey I did that with her or someone the same thing. I see that I must too have broken the trust ,the faith of someone and so what I get is what I deserve. The Universe never does anything without a reason. Every action has a reaction ,an effect.

    1. No worries, you don’t need to feel obligated to comment. I like this piece because it has different meanings for different people. And I think that’s what makes a good poem. Letting readers interpret for themselves what they see or feel. 😊

      1. My mom has afro hair she keeps it really short because of that, it would look so good long but I can see it’s a lot of work for her so she keeps it really short so it almost loses its curl. I know it takes a lot with curly hair but it does mean you are one of the chosen 🙂

  2. My immediate mental image when reading this was of a woman spying on her significant other (maybe even her ex) through a pair of binoculars. 😀

I like that last line “…like you belonged there.” and how it implies that he no longer belongs with the MC.
