Love the imagery! I wonder if a word besides enjoy could extend that imagery to the last line– like “bask in your touch,” makes me think of kitties laying in the sun. Just a thought. 🙂
Oh, yes, possibly so. I wanted the emphasis to be on the purring and having the whole thing flow easy over the tongue. Bask would cut that flow a little.
It’s a low sound in the throat, like gargling but with air, very small amount of air over the vocal chords just enough to get them to vibrate but not enough to vocalize
