Shallows

While the stars collide above your head,
my love, I’ll be in the shallow’s rip tide,
drowning beneath the waves.

    My interpretation of it is he’s too busy chasing after his dreams, he doesn’t even realize that he’s neglecting her and leaving her to drown in the home’s daily bills and her emotional needs. At least, that’s how it sounds to me. πŸ™‚

    1. That’s definitely a good interpretation. Being in a relationship — a healthy one — means you can’t have your head in the clouds by yourself. You have to think of the other person and how your actions affect them. 😊
