I love the word “glimmering.” It has such a lovely sound. This is a beautiful write filled with such promise for the narrator. This “you” sounds like a keeper. What aisle can I find him in? 😉

“…but you still saw the light, glimmering against all that darkness like the stars in the night sky,” I love this line. it’s like even though she has all of this emotional baggage, he’s able to see the beautiful light shining inside of her. Just lovely. 🙂
