A World Of Beauty

Poetry

There’s beauty in the world, there’s beauty in life — the good and the bad. Writing about these things isn’t trash. That’s not honoring your beliefs. It would feel like a dishonor to shun everything about life that makes us human beings. Don’t think your words are less important because they aren’t necessarily about a higher power. Life, feeling, and just being are worth exploring.

  1. Hi Sarah,

    Your feedback matters.

    Please check my muse.

    ##

    Someone, Somebody.

    Dark were those days,

    All by myself,

    My confused, vulnerable self,

    No pillar to stand by,

The days, a roller coaster of emotions,

    Leaving me tired and tested,

    Too young to feel God,

    Believing?

    Yet, I carried on,

With some strange blessings of someone,

Today, I know it must have been him.

    Good Day.

  2. Reblogged this on Pinangel and commented:
I am re blogging this because I feel un able to post. I am currently working on a story I value greatly and I have no idea how to share the bits and pieces without ruining the experience. I am held back but I am still moving forward.
These words appear so important to me right now. I believe pinangel will open its minds eye and flourish. There have always been more directions than displayed here. Read these words and find in yourself a reason to put fourth your story.
Please check out the original poster. I love her work.

  3. “There’s beauty in the world, there’s beauty in life.” That is so true.

You hear so many bad things on the news it would be easy to take a pessimistic view on life and everything else. But this world is a beautiful place. And life is a beautiful and precious thing. 🙂

  4. The blood and bone, pain and pleasure, tears and triumphant joy IS life. There can be nothing more important than that. What drives us, what makes us is bound up in these things. Without writing, without exploring these things how can we realize anything beyond the borders of our skin.

  5. i love this piece not only because it is about believing in your art as a writer, but also because the last line states what is essential for this belief to manifest, but more importantly, that “life, feeling, and just being are worth exploring.”
