Shifting Bones

Poetry

Your weight pinned me and my bones creaked from the pressure. My little body molded itself to you, trying to let you fit, as if it would help ease some of the pain. But rather than shifting my bones, you broke my mind instead.

  1. Yes. Everything is perfect here and that is hard to find in anything we do. The picture you chose. The words. It is sublime and that’s a word I hate to use because it’s used too much but in its real form it fits this so perfectly I had to.

  2. That photo is so spooky but breathtaking. And the poem you paired it with is equally haunting. I must have re-read your poem a dozen times already and each time it just resonates. One of your best, Sarah ❤
