Your weight pinned me and my bones creaked from the pressure. My little body molded itself to you, trying to let you fit, as if it would help ease some of the pain. But rather than shifting my bones, you broke my mind instead.

You’ve written so many variations of this, and yet, each time I’m unprepared for the shock and sorrow.

I know, I seem to keep refreshing the idea simply because it’s something I still deal with. Thank you for continuing to appreciate it. 😊

When you express it, and it’s outside of you in the light, you have a measure of control. That’s a good thing.

Yes. Everything is perfect here and that is hard to find in anything we do. The picture you chose. The words. It is sublime and that’s a word I hate to use because it’s used too much but in its real form it fits this so perfectly I had to.

It’s okay, I actually don’t hear sublime here too often so I’ll take it! 😊 Thanks, love!

Once again you are the absolute mistress of pared prose that says it all, no more, no less.

That photo is so spooky but breathtaking. And the poem you paired it with is equally haunting. I must have re-read your poem a dozen times already and each time it just resonates. One of your best, Sarah ❤
