Brave Enough

Embrace the beauty within rather than focusing on the outside. After all, it’s just a shell. Often, a mask. The inside is where the treasures are hidden, if you’re brave enough to find them.

  1. This is such a hard thing to do when you are feeling beaten; and yet it is the only thing we can do if our goal is to cast aside all the ‘rubbish’ our minds can go into at such times as this. A battle; but one worth fighting!

  2. I’m coming up on forty in two short years, and I am only just becoming comfortable with my body. I was at my optimal weight in my late twenties, and still I found reasons to dislike myself. A reflection of poor self-esteem and a bad (failed) marriage to a man who was always happy to point out more beautiful woman. It has taken a lot of years for me to learn to love myself–to do for myself and not anyone else. I really love this post, Sarah. ❤
