Every night, I died a little inside.
It was a reward, you said,
for being a good little girl.
Though you forced it,
it was never sweet like you said.
Those little pieces of me
are lost and all that remains
is demon infested darkness.

So much emotion is so few words. There is a world behind those words, a depth that is hinted at and one that will reward or frighten the reader as they dig deeper.

I just want to tell you how much I appreciate you, as a woman, and as a writer. You are brilliant to me, not only because you are talented, but because you are authentic, and visceral. To me, you are strong and brave, and I appreciate that even more than I do your poetic gift. Thank you.

Oh my, thank you, so much for that honor. It’s always strange to hear from different people about how my writing (and me as a person) relates to them, when all I heard as a kid was that I wouldn’t be talented or liked (let alone loved) for anything. It’s sort of a knock on him and all he did to me. Words cannot express how much it means to me that you think so. 💕

❤ I hope it isn't weird (to you) for me to say that I love you. You inspire me. And even though I don't know you face to face, sharing a physical space, you are important to me. ❤

as an addict of melancholy words, this was bound to hit the spot but usually you do, just without effort, such is your art. xo

This definitely wasn’t easy to write. Especially if you know the meaning of ‘little death’. Thank you as always for your support. 💕

I do (!) because it comes from the French and that’s my first language. I think you wind a lot of clever things into your writing that are very subliminal, sometimes people may miss them, I like to root them out, because there are two ways of reading you. As with all my favorite writers this is true. A sign of a conscious and semi-conscious will at work. xo

Thank you, love. I’m definitely known to drop hints of allow for multiple meanings or takeaways from my words. Even my books are filled with layers of little clues people don’t realize are there until the reveal. It’s always nice to have these little nuances and see if anyone picks up on them. Thank you, as always for your kind and loving support. I’m lucky to know you. 💕
