Reminiscent Stillness

Poetry

In the night’s stillness, I remember you. I remember how everything reminds me of you. The warmth of your breath against my chilled skin, and the craving in my bones to hear your voice. How I still need you. How you made me feel alive, when all that surrounded me was darkness.

  1. I tried my best not to be emotional because I remember I said to you
Love is to give not to ask so I accepted your goodbye when you said
But I remember , I remember you still
You are a part of me and forever will be
My mind plays games to blame you
But my heart knows we don’t blame lovers
Love is giving freedom to the other
So I even with tears rolling remember you still
    And continue loving you more.
