Following the beat, he led me
across the ballroom floor.
And somewhere along the way,
I realized I lost myself
to the music and his movements.

  1. An clean tablecloth on a barely used table for two, two sweaty, half empty champagne glasses. two pairs of sandals left under the table. It’s good to see you having fun with these!

  2. I’m a dancer, and this poem reflects dancing so brilliantly!! I always get lost in the music, it’s so easy to forget you are actually dancing because you just move – you lose yourself in the movement, and I think it’s beautiful.
