Masks Of Prominence

Poetry

Manners. Etiquette. Propriety. Essentials to a successful life in polite society. Established to control every facet of our lives, we conformed, sacrificing wants and desires for the sake of making our family names a part of prominence. But people needed to worry about what happened in the shadows, behind closed doors. What would they think if they knew the truth behind the mask?

  1. Nice words and so very true. I also like the image you posted although Mr Midnight, from the blog “Gilmours Nice Place” was a little disturbed by its appearance. He frightens easily but Sir Winston and myself calmed him down. After I explained what it was all about he decided he liked he photo. Cats can be so “difficult” sometimes . . . 🙂 Best of greetings from the Black Forest.
