Numb

When I’m drowning
in misery and those
silent tears have dried,
you know it’s really bad
when I stop eating.

  1. Thanks for reaching out. Lack of appetite is a better sign of misery than tears. Tears flow even while reading your poem , but losing appetite is far more serious. It is beautiful to read genuine human emotion…..

    1. Haha, luckily if I’m going through something like this, I’ll eat after about a day or so. I’m not by any means starving myself. I have plenty of weight to lose and I’m trying to do it in a healthy way. But sometimes… I just shut down and don’t feel like doing anything, not even eating. 💕
