I read this and interpret it differently and that’s the beauty of words. This text immediately reminded me of my crudest, bluntest character I’ve ever written: Marcus da Dixon. He’s very sarcastic and has a dry but witty sense of … oh my gosh, I’m rambling. Anyway, I see it as a sarcastic remark as ‘I’m not in the game because you’re no match for my league’. I like this text. 🙂
Ah, don’t fret (i know, easier said than done). I often feel this way too. I think as writers, it’s a part of the process. I try to remind myself that I’m only competing against myself.
