Reminds me of our old school joke (take that as old school, old joke, or both!): “Is your ink well?” When I started school – hmmm, must’ve been in the 1800’s???) they still had ink wells- there was a hole in the desk to hold the bottle and you had to take it home every day to refill it – and we were only allowed to use straight nib pens, fountain pens leaked, thus banned, and ball points were instruments of the Devil… But back to your “Writing is” – I’d say that is how it is for you, Sarah, and very well put too, but it has many other uses. The pen is mightier than the sword! Where would demagogues get their inspiration and words, were it not for writing? And the Admen, however they like to use imagery? Dissertations? Graffiti? No, sorry, graffiti does fit under your description, obviously. Thanks for giving me this tiny little soap box, just for a minute or two, I needed a break from… where was I? I forgot to remember.
