Wishes

Take all your prayers.
All your wishes upon stars
and blown out candles.
All those empty nights
you looked at the moon
and told yourself that
your world would be alright.
That you would overcome.
Let it all go and listen
to the midnight whispers
in the halls of you heart.
You’ll find the answers
were there all along.
