Poetry

If I

If I jumped,
Would anyone
Notice?
Or care?

It doesn’t matter.
I would. And
That is what
Matters the most.

Because it
Matters to me.
Because I learn
Every single day.

Painful lessons
That make me
Want to give up.
But I won’t. Ever.

It would mean
They won the war.
And I can’t give them
That satisfaction.

Until then,
I’ll keep learning.
Keep trying.
Keep living.

One day
I’ll win.
That’s what it’s
Like to grow.
